Our Story

It all started when...

In 2015 amidst personal loss and tragedy in the lives of Pastor Chris and Tracie, God began to speak to them about a new church.  During a painful season in their lives with the loss of a hope to adopt two little girls to whom they had been foster parents, God began to speak to Pastor Chris about a new church.  A church of transparent and real people who love Jesus and are committed to His mission to reach broken and hurting people.  It was in the fall of 2015 that Chris and Tracie began to pray and ask the Lord where he was calling them.  And as they came into the new year of 2016 God called them back to Central Wisconsin, where Chris grew up, to plant a church in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. 

In the Spring of 2016 Chris and Tracie met with Pastor Nathan Schroeder of Highland Church in Plover, WI for lunch and together they discussed their passion and burden for the city of Stevens Point.  During that lunch appointment, there was a connection and the discovery of a vision for Highland Church to parent this new church plant in Stevens Point. 

Chris and Tracie, who were currently living in Brainerd, Minnesota, began to see God's confirmation that this was the direction He was leading them.  They began to prepare to move back to central Wisconsin and on June 27, 2016 with the moving truck loaded they took the first major step in their journey.
