Pastor Gayland reminds of a God who loved us enough to be born on earth with us, and the magi from afar who fell in love with a baby they didn’t know. They travelled to worship him and honor him with royal gifts.
The Advent of Hope
Pastor Chris talks about hope as we begin advent.
The Book of Luke pt 66
Pastor Gayland walks us through the story of Jesus throwing the Booths of Anise out of his temple (Luke 19, Mark 11, John 2). Because of the political, economical and ethical complications of the temple, Jesus spoke out against a corrupt religious authority, bringing his people back to the simplicity of the Shema (Deuteronomy 6-9:). Jesus is still calling us to make God number one, with unadulterated prayer, teaching of the bible and worship. Waiting for us to courageously kick out anything else that has become to important.
