Confession

My first step to freedom is found in my confession. When I realize that I am not God, and admit that I cannot control my tendency to do the wrong thing on my own. Pastor Chris reminds us of the power of confessing our sins one to another.

Cheerful Giving

God cares more about out attitude towards giving than about the amount given. Paul called the church to excel in the grace of giving, and to match their eager desire with their means. We are still called to give what we have determined in our heart, and with joy.

Easter

The resurrection of Jesus proves that he can resurrect my life. Pastor Chris speaks about the three questions asked by his followers after Jesus runs again. Who will roll the stone away? Why do you look for the living among the dead. What possibly could have happened? He is risen.

Palm Sunday

We are all Accountable to God for how we choose to respond to Jesus. Jesus wept when he saw that some would witness and testify of him and would would reject him shortly after and some would fail to believe who he was. Some of us though, still choose to witness and testify through faith in response to who Christ is.

Watch and Pray

Pastor Chris unpacks Jesus’ words in Luke, chapter 21. We are to watch out, stand firm, stand up, be careful, watch and pray, because no one knows when Jesus is coming back, We do know that Jesus is coming back. Am I ready for Jesus to return? What responsibility do I have until then, and how can I prepare for that moment.

Lions

Josh Nelson elaborates on the story of Daniel and the lions that he faced. Each of us face lions in our lives, promoting fear, isolation and discouragement. But we serve the Lion of Judah and the lamb of God. In difficult times we reach for Jesus, reach with faith, reach out to community and the encouragement it brings.
